Shabait.com: Seminar on community based legal procedures

Massawa, 12 April 2016- The Minister of Local Government, Mr. Woldemicael Abraha conducted a seminar on 11 April in Massawa on ensuring community based legal procedures. The seminar was attended by administrators, public representatives, army commanders as well as members of the civil society and front.

The Minister also said that the traditional legal systems that existed for generation have been the sources of stability, cooperation, unity as well as the main factors of the Eritrean people’s victory.

He further indicated that the establishment of the community based magistrates is to ease the load of the courts and that the increased awareness of the public is paramount in order to ensure social justice and avoid sub-national sentiments.

The participants on their part expressed conviction to reinforce participation for the success of the efforts to ensure social justice in the country.
