Paris, Feb 12, 2016 (Prensa Latina) Twenty-four Eritrean migrants, including eleven women, were found in a refrigerated truck near the French city of Calais (North), where thousands of undocumented immigrants live in a camp in precarious conditions.

The migrants, who were all pleaded minors, were arrested and later released, noted official sources quoted today by the local press.

About 5,000 of the so-called paperless are in precarious conditions in the camp outside Calais in order to try to reach British soil through the Euro-tunnel.

According to a report from the University of Birmingham (UK), supported by other institutions, the so-called jungle of Calais is in a humanitarian crisis.

The conditions of the settlement on the outskirts of the French locality, where converge migrants from countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Iraq are below the minimum of any refugee camp, remarked the press.
