Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri discussed with his Eritrean counterpart Osman Saleh on Tuesday 22/9/2015 efforts to fight terrorism and instability factors in the region.
The discussion came on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly session in New York, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The two top diplomats also discussed boosting bilateral ties in various fields along with coordinating issues of securing the Red Sea. The meeting reflected the distinguished relations between Egypt and Eritrea and their common interest in securing the Red Sea, Abu Zeid said.
Regional challenges, especially in South Sudan, Libya and Yemen, were high on the agenda of the meeting, in which the two parties also agreed on continued coordination in these files.
