Algerian runner, Abderrahmane Mansouri Club Sovac Thursday won the second stage of international cycling Tour of Constantine, the eighth round of the GTAC-2015, while the yellow jersey was taken over by the Eritrean Amanuel Ghebreigzbhi.

At the end of a stage ridden in heavy rain, the Algerian Abderrahmane Mansouri finished the distance of 134 km linking Constantine Constantine-Mila-in 3:28: 10, before his teammates Abdelkader Belmokhtar GS Oil (3:28: 10) and Nabil Baz Club Sovac (3:28: 14).

The course of this second stage was marked by heavy rainfall in the wilaya of Constantine hosting for the third consecutive year the caravan of the Grand Tour of Algeria.

The first breakaway of the day was the piece of the Algerian £ Benrais Nadir Club Sovac triggered at kilometer 13 of the stage, getting even to play the first pass first class, located in the town of Tidis.

On Friday, the third and final stage of the International Tour de Constantine Constantine lead the squad to Oum El-Bouaghi then back to Constantine, a total journey of 137 km.

International Tour of Constantine: Madani Abdelmalek wins first stage, wears yellow jersey

CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- Algerian cyclist Madani Abdelmalek (GS Petroliers) won, Wednesday, the first stage of the Constantine International Cycling Tour, eighth event of the Grand Tour of Algeria, snatching the leader’s yellow jersey.

At the end of the 115-km section run between the city of Berrahal (Annaba) and Constantine, Madani Abdelmalek crossed the finish line in 3:05:35, ahead of Eritreans Amanuel Ghebreigzbhi (3:05:35) and Mekseb Debesay (3:07:21).

Madani snatched the leader’s yellow jersey and best sprinter’s red jersey while Algerian Adil Barbari (GS Petroliers), won best climber’s polka dot jersey.

The best hopeful’s white jersey was won by Eritrean Amanuel Ghebreigzbhi.

On Thursday, cyclists will run the second stage of the Constantine International Tour (Constantine-Mila-Constantine) over a distance of 134 km.
