Endeavors that have been exerted towards equipping the youth with knowledge
and skill knowhow would gain momentum: President

Sawa, 19 July 2014 – President Isaias Afwerki said that endeavors that have
been exerted towards equipping the youth with knowledge and skill knowhow
would gain momentum on the basis of higher organization.

He made the remark at a meeting he conducted yesterday in Sawa with a total
of 600 youth representatives from all over the country and abroad, during
which he stated that youths suited with knowledge and experience constitute
a prerequisite for building a strong people and nation. The President went
on to indicate that the Government has been making relentless efforts with a
view to ensuring extensive educational and training opportunities for youths
and thereby raising efficiency in human resource management.

“Such endeavor would continue in a furthered pace in the future,” he added.

In this connection, President Isaias pointed out the need for youths to
engage themselves in dynamic change and sustained work so as to raise their
production capacity and thereby ensure bright future for them vis-à-vis the
country. He further called on pertinent bodies to step up input to this end.

The president also gave briefings as regards the hostile activities being
perpetrated by hostile quarters in an organized and conspiring manner in a
bid to lure Eritrean youths to abandon their professional and academic
engagements. He also urged the youth to remain aware regarding such enemy
ploys on one hand and the responsibility they should assume in building the
nation on the other.

President Isaias answered questions raised by the participants of the
meeting.
