Shabait.com: Call made for strengthening Information Ministry’s regional offices

Asmara, 28 December 2014- At an annual assessment meeting they conducted the Information Ministry’s reporters in the six regions called for strengthening the regional branch offices.

They indicated that so far they have been conducting their activities with the strong support of regional and sub-zonal administrations, and called on the ministry to strengthen the regional offices with training and material support.

Mr. Berhe Asfaha, head of News Agency, indicated that in the year 2014 the regional reporters have provided the central office with 1600 news accompanied with video and still photographs and several live programs in connection with national holydays.

Mr. Paulos Netabai, Director of Newsroom, called on the reporters to reinforce efforts in providing the public with timely and factual information, and that the ministry will do its capacity to strengthen the regional offices with human resources and materials.
