 Debarwa, 07 November 2013 – Mattress and soft paper factories owned by a
citizen entrepreneur have opened in Debarwa town.
Mr. Mohammed-Suud Mussa, owner of the factories, indicated that he became
beneficiary of a total of 6,000 cubic meters of land plot for industrial
purpose in 2011, and that the mattress factory involves complete
reprocessing of worn out clothes, in addition to the existing plan to
extend product line focusing on more textile products.
Accordingly, the soft paper factory attains remarkable standard in
comparison with products from overseas, while the business which has
ensured employment opportunity for 45 individuals looks forward to
achieving export potential shortly.
Among the workers, Mr. Wehab Nur-Hussein, Mr. Ibrahim Nur-Hussein, Ms.
Leula Mehari and Ms. Genet Haile stated that the plant has vital input as
regards environmental sanitation, and expressed satisfaction with the job
opportunity they obtained vis-à-vis the groundwork for skill knowhow.
