The second day of the 9th Annual YPFDJ Conference concluded successfully.
Members walked away inspired, entertained, and enlightened by the various
discussions, seminars, and performances that took place. One of the
highlights was a panel on diaspora professionals working in Eritrea. The
panelists were involved in a variety of careers. Attendees heard from a
lawyer, a teacher, an X-ray technologist, and volunteers from Sawa and the
Nakfa cadre school. Members saw their dreams play out on stage as the
professionals described the beauty and challenges of their experiences.
Another highlight was the economic development presentation of Dr. Woldai
Futur, Director of the Eritrean Investment Center. From this and a
presentation from the Eritrean Investment Corporation, members walked away
with further encouragement to be entrepreneurs in Eritrea. Attendees
reveled in the poems and dances in between sessions, and in the traditional
guayla at night.
