[dehai-news] Eritrean National in the City of Toronto and its Environs Commemorated Martyrs day with Patriotic keenness

Toronto, June 20th 2013 - Eritrean Community Members in the City of Toronto
and Its Environs commemorated martyrs day with patriotic zeal at Etienne
Brule Park in the City of Toronto, With Several hundred Eritrean
  congregated to honour our martyrs organized by ENHOC martyrs committee.
Present at the remembrance Eritrea's Head Consular to Canada, Religious
leaders, invited guests.

The tribute began with a moment of silence in memory of all those who
sacrificed their lives for Eritrea's Freedom and Soveirgnty. The program
included walking lead by the youth, speeches, poetry and songs by our
local artist.

Eritrea's Head Consular to Canada Mr. Ahmed Iman, Officially opened the
ceremony, during his address to Eritrean Community members reminded that it
was the responsibilities of each and every Eritrean to support the families
those that were martyred to liberate Eritrea, He Also stated that the
prevailing peace and stability in the country is the outcome of the heavy
sacrifices paid, and stressed that every citizen is responsibility to
assist children and families of martyrs.

During the event which added color was the major involvement of children
and youths, several poems where presented by the youth and community
members in honour to our martyrs. Hence, the Community members expressed
readiness to step up efforts towards bestowing the national values to this
end to the young generation, while encouraging them to support families of
fallen heroes, and Eritrean nationals reiterated readiness to honor the
trust of fallen heroes.
