Although not the youngest nation in Africa at the moment, itʼs been only about 20 years since war ravaged Eritrea got itʼs independence. But looking back then and now one can easily identify the undeniable changes that has been achieved in the past years, throughout the country in all aspects of life. Say food/water security, health, education, infrastructure and so forth... Eritrea has achieved way more than any other African nation withstanding indefinite challenges. Itʼs one of the countries that has achieved the millennium goals and still going strong thanks to the collaboration of the hard working eritrean people and government.

So whatʼs all the bias anti Eritrea propaganda? To those who viewed Afshin Rattansi 2012 documentary titled “ERITREA: a nation in isolation” the answer is simple as one young eritrean junior student put it mildly when asked why the mainstream media hates Eritrea? She said “ maybe they jealous” and let me add one word to her statement which is GREADY.

Africa has been neglected for centuries its right to choose her own path, always administered behind the curtains by westerners robbing her resources while millions of its inhabitants suffer. Organizations such as UN HRW and NGO come to play in here to cover their crimes by donating a penny from a million that has been robbed. No one knows better than eritreans the work of this unproductive and unpopular organizations, our history is a witness, these same people sat back and watched during the brutal 30 year Ethiopian Derg occupation while our villages get burned, children, women, and elders run over tanks, young adults imprisoned and perished, and fighter jet planes threw cluster and napalm bombs over innocent civilians ( at this very month of February 1990 - Massawa city), that we have never heard the voice of UN HRW or sister organizations. Now all of a sudden they care so much for the eritrean people. They are way corrupt that they hire actors/anchors such as Martin Plaut and Dan Connell for their propaganda to tweet and mislead with their distorted and biased anti Eritrea coverages. So anyone with a pinch of common sense can capture their motives, all they care is about their fat salaries more than anything else, their acted and pretentious sympathy for the eritrean people is insulting, fake and unacceptable. I donʼt think there is anyone that doubts who really cares for Eritrea thou. Our brothers and sisters are working tirelessly day and night ( few mistake and room for improvement, you donʼt make mistakes only when you are not doing anything, a doer makes mistakes) to give us their children a better, free of aid, and independent Eritrea. But there are also few woyane dogs that are way ignorant to understand that and are engaged in desperate acts such as disrupting social gatherings and intruding our embassies abroad. These are lost souls or (anime perse) as Dante Alighieri would say. I am sure they will wake up soon from their dreams and stop their thuggish and ghetto behavior. Anyone can recall that during the 30 year war for independence there has never been witnessed such a hopeless and desperate act when dealing with the enemy, but I guess you canʼt expect that from losers and opportunists. The US and its CIA are even aware of this woyane dogs inabilities. The situation in Ethiopia is not helping either, exacerbated by rising Islamic opposition and TPLFʼs inability to hold itself together plus their internal ethnic power strife will sooner or later create the specter of disintegration. So why work against Eritrea, a nation of hard working and peace loving people that is doing its best to self rely? itʼs simply counterproductive and brainless it will only add fire to the volatile horn region. The US needs to revise and reexamine its east African policies and work to bring peace and lasting solutions to the horn and Africa in general as it will serve to its long term national interest.

Scare tactics, unjust sanctions, or silly comparisons to North Korea and Iran are not surely a way forward, first and foremost: • Eritrea is not interested in building a nuclear weapon, no one knows better the

consequences of war more than eritreans and most important the people and government are more preoccupied in improving and changing the living standard and rebuilding the country.

• Eritrea has never been isolated, have you ever been to Eritrea? Well maybe our isolation is as the President put it in the mind of dreamers or those that think the world is only US.

• Eritrea doesnʼt have the time to respond to all the nonsense anti propaganda. They say freedom of speech ohh.. this one is silly maybe they mean freedom of lies. They choose copy cat names such as Reporters without borders ( the original being Doctors Without Borders) to give an impression of credibility. These are no different than any con man and there will never be a place for their dirty tricks in Eritrea.

• Eritrea has a President by the people for the people. So stop name calling, he was there, he is here, and he will be there in good and bad times, simply the Lion of Nakfa. Just because he is well aware of the evil inner working of westerners, an african leader is automatically a dictator. So westerners thank you for your democratic suggestions, just hold onto your multi million presidential race while millions are out of job and food stamp recipients.

Once Martin Luther King, Jr. said “ Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and when they fail in this purpose they become the dangerously structured dams that block the flow of social progress.”

Therefore any nation small or big, regardless of the size needs to contribute and participate in the worldʼs economic prosperity, justice and freedom for all.

CONCLUSION
At a presentation held 10/20/11 by Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu (Eritrean Ambassador to the UK and Ireland) to Scottish MPs regarding Eritrea, one participant said the following:

“We live in a world where the west and north tend to think of themselves as having some superiority, what I think we got from today is absolutely no. The superiority comes with self

sustainability, respect, responsibility, human rights, and non degradation of resources.”

This is precisely Eritrea, a nation of can do people but most of all a nation protected by the Almighty God/Allah at all times.

Awet Nʼhafash.
