Selam WediHager: Let me just say that I am in total agreement with everything you wrote. Regarding the Ethiopian chauvinists and Weyane opportunists, someone in another forum summarized it best when they said that, "Ethiopian chauvinists and Weyane opportunists seem to treat Eritrean independence and the Port of Assab like cigarettes. They know it is going to kill them but they do it anyway." The obsession with Eritrea's coastline arguably killed Haile Selassie's reign. It killed Mengistu's regime. It may have killed Meles Zenawi. So you think they would learn to lay off it by now. I would even go further and say that they seem to treat it worse than cigarettes. It's like their crack-cocaine. They know it is bad for them but they are addicted to it. They can't seem to get off it.
