The group calling itself the Eritrean Youth
Solidarity for Change (EYSC)
whose members include Solomon Assefaw and Yonas
Mehari (a member of the
United State
s Marine Corps and Haile Durue's
nephew) have orchestrated a nationwide
effort to disrupt Eritrean
Communities and have visited venues where
Eritrean Communities hold their
activities and threatened the owners if
they didn't cancel the events. They
have labelled Eritrean Communities has
being "terrorists" and have written
volumes to disparage Eritrea's image
and reputation. After tacking them for
over 12 years, it is time to let the
people know who they are and what they
represent.
As the petition will show, these groups and their founders,
such as Yonas
Mehari of the Eritrean Community for Human Rights &
Refugee Protection are
opportunists living off the suffering of others. From
causing the
suffering, killing and mutilation of innocent Eritrean youth in
the Sinai
to encouraging the dangerous crossings across the seas, working in
tandem
with a bankrupt and corrupt Catholic priest (more on him in another
post),
these selfish individuals have put Eritrea's youth at risk in order
to
advance Meles Zenawi's agendas against the State of Eritrea.
Yonas Mehari and Solomon Assefaw and their thugs petitioned the US State
Department to put Eritrea on the list of countries that support terrorism
(2007). Today, these thugs, believing it will serve their cause and keep
them in the lucrative "NGO network", have signed the petition against
putting Boko Haram on the list. What is it that the people and Government
of Eritrea have done that would warrant such an evil call? Boka Haram, for
whatever reasons has been wrecking havoc in the lives of Nigerians for
quite sometime now and much has been written about their activities of late.
Through their one and two men cyber NGOs, they have partnered with
prominent groups such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the
Committee for the Protection of Journalists to violate the rights of
Eritrean Americans and Canadian Eritreans. These individuals and groups
have been emboldened by anti-Eritrea operatives such as Dan Connell of
Freedom House who recently met with the group and its supporters. The Group
has also been emboldened by the mention and call for support found in the
Wikileak cables authored by Robert McMullen, former US Ambassador to
Eritrea.
Yonas Mehari is also working with the Woyane initiated
group RSADO which is
responsible for terrorist attacks against the State of
Eritrea and its
people. RSADO is behind the latest UN Human Rights Council
filing by
Djibouti and Nigeria and their intention is to form an Afar State
by
annexing Eritrea's entire Dankalia Region (Assab included). Evidence of
Yonas Mehari's crimes against the people of Eritrea will be provided in
detail soon. Suffice it to mention that he has been signing various
petitions using "Eritrean American Community". We need to let this wayward
criminal know that he does not speak for us and that he does not represent
us. It will take a lot of work to undo the damage he has done, but it is
not impossible.
