Someone with the name of ERIAM is writing endorsement letter with our name without our permission. No Eritrean Americans have done any statement. I don't even think there are any for Obama after what he did to us at the UN. Like independents we have not made up our choice yet. If this group (ERIAM) or individual has something to offer they have to come out in the open and discuss it with the community instead of hiding.
No one has the moral high ground to come and tell us who to vote in this election. Every Eritrean American has the responsibility to vote and vote their conscious. On November 6th when we go in the booth and register our vote we should do what is good for us. Nobody or group tell us what to do with our vote. If we don't like both candidates we also have choice, vote for independent candidate. Never underestimate the Eritrean Community.
At the outset, Eriam is grateful for Haile Abrahams response to RE:
President Barack Obama .
With due respect, Haile appears to shoot first before aiming his target.
He grants Eriam the right to express its political views, while condemning
and accusing Eriam for acting against the wishes of all of us. Eriam did
not act against any one community in USA in as much as those who opened a
Facebook page -Eritrean for Obama, that is, using a social media, to
endorse and campaign for President Obama by sharing ones view on the
Candidate with Facebook register voters.
In America, there are many ethnic groups, such as Greek-Americans and
Eritrean Americans. Each and every one of these Ethnic-American communities
has individual members who live and work or study in any city, any county
and any state in America. They are part of the American melting pot.
Accordingly,
individuals are required to register to vote where they work/study or
reside. Candidate for city, county, state, congress, senate and *the
President* address the individual/community by appearing before their
audiences in pizzerias, town halls, sports stadium etc. Voters choose the
best candidate who addresses their concerns. Voting is a
responsibility. Voting
a right that every citizen ought to exercise.
Haile Abraham needs to be reminded that pre-judging a candidate is part of
the election process. In Eriams views, Mitt Romney is a failure and
President Obama is a winner. Just mark Eriams word for that judgment day
on November 6, 2012.
