At the outset, Eriam is grateful for Haile Abraham’s response to “RE:
President Barack Obama” .
With due respect, Haile appears to shoot first before aiming his target.
He grants Eriam the right to express its political views, while condemning
and accusing Eriam for “acting against the wishes of all of us”. Eriam did
not act against any one community in USA in as much as those who opened a
Facebook page -Eritrean for Obama, that is, using a social media, to
endorse and campaign for President Obama by sharing one’s view on the
Candidate with Facebook register voters.
In America, there are many ethnic groups, such as Greek-Americans and
Eritrean Americans. Each and every one of these Ethnic-American communities
has individual members who live and work or study in any city, any county
and any state in America. They are part of the American melting pot.
Accordingly,
individuals are required to register to vote where they work/study or
reside. Candidate for city, county, state, congress, senate and *the
President* address the individual/community by appearing before their
audiences in pizzerias, town halls, sports stadium etc. Voters choose the
best candidate who addresses their concerns. Voting is a
responsibility. Voting
a right that every citizen ought to exercise.
Haile Abraham needs to be reminded that pre-judging a candidate is part of
the election process. In Eriam’s views, Mitt Romney is a failure and
President Obama is a winner. Just mark Eriam’s word for that judgment day
on November 6, 2012.
