Not only Susan Rice eulogy of Meles
was diplomatically incorrect but it was also morally bankrupt that borders
insanity. It is no questions that President Obama will be judged by the people
he appoints for some of the key positions in his administration. And in my
opinion, giving a job of such crucial importance as the US Ambassador to the UN
to people like Susan Rice could be a fatal mistake and may cost him a
re-election bid in a neck-to-neck competition. Susan Rice's abrasive character
and her bullish demeanor towards Africa will unquestionably force many
potential voters from that region from participating in the November election.
Without exaggeration, about half a million potential voters from Ethiopia,
Sudan, Somalia and Eritrea reside in the US. Most of them have voted for Obama
in the last Presidential election, but considering the way it appears now, the
majority of these potential voters may simply abstain from going to the polls in
November mainly due to unchanged or ineffective US foreign policy in that region.
I don't know if Obama or his campaign staff is aware of this, but if the
election comes down to just few votes and Obama becomes a one-term President,
he can certainly blame Susan Rice and then blame himself for appointing her to
that UN position...

Is Suzan Rice Eulogy of Meles diplomatically correct? I believe this speech should automatically recluse her from any discussion in issues in regard to any issues in the Horn of Africa. If Obama succeeds to be elected to the second term, it would be wise to remove such individuals like her, that are guided by their personal prejudices and interest. If he does not my support of Obama dwindles.
