You are often imitated but never duplicated
Many envy you while others hate you
You are very opinionated and educated
So many imitators have tried to destroy you
So many haters have tried to suppress you
You’ve overcome so many obstacles
A lot of blood was shed for your freedom
30 years of war it took for your recognition
But I guess that’s not enough, because there are still some who
under-estimate you
There are some who consider you weak, but you are stronger
There are some who think you would be broke without their help, but
you are richer
They think you are helpless, but you are smarter
You truly are a survivor
Your secret weapons are your people
You are the mother of those brave souls
Who would shed their blood for you
Your people live, breath, and die for you
When they say your name they say it with pride
When they sing your song they sing it with heart
You are them and they are you
They will always be there to nurture and protect you
You are one of a kind
A symbol of unity and example to your neighboring countries
Green, red, and blue are your colors
Red for the amount of blood lost to gain ownership of your name
Blue is for the water that surrounds you
Green is for the land that was blessed by God for you
Camel is your symbol
Because like a camel you are an icon of adaptation to challenging ways of
living
Although some may think you will self-destruct
You are still here
Even in your days to come you are still going to be here
