the non-ending US legalized humman trafficing and violation of
International law by US backed by UN. The US government and media cover up
extent and horror of Afghan and Pakistan civilian deaths by drones and
airstrikes to fool the American public. The United States has one of the
worst human rights records in the world, according to a report by Russia's
Foreign Ministry.

The report, which the ministry has submitted to the lower house of Russian
State Duma for deliberations, denounced the US for its dismal human rights
record, citing child molestation, invasion of privacy, police brutality and
restrictions on the freedom of expression.
The report noted that "hundreds of thousands of children" are maltreated in
the US every year, which has led to 1,600 deaths in 2010 alone.
"About one police officer in 100 has been involved in criminal abuses,
including sexual harassment, indecent behavior or rape," it said.
"The US remains the country with the largest prison population in the world
- 2.2 million," the report underlined.
The Russian report also criticized a US legislation authorizing "special
services" to keep tabs on all private electronic messages without any
judicial order.

US violates int'l law with impunity

An analyst says the reasons Guantanamo is still open is because it sends a
message to the world that the US has hegemony and can violate any laws and
get away with it. In the background of this most prisoners at Guantanamo
Bay have been on a hunger strike for two months now with several in life
threatening condition. At first the US denied the existence of hunger
strikes at Guantanamo, then for a long time there was a concerted effort by
Western corporate media to play down this story and abide by the US
government agenda. Clashes have occurred just hours ago between prisoners
and guards linked to hunger strikes at the infamous facility. Detainees
have been transferred from communal to solitary confinement following the
clashes. There are some 166 prisoners held at Guantanamo most according to
analysts are completely innocent and all are being held indefinitely
without charge.

Australians remain remorseful over what they call the war crimes committed
by the US-led forces, especially Australia in Iraq which have taken many
lives and displaced a lot of people. Despite anger from the public, the
Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard recently stated he had no
regrets in invading Iraq in 2003. Despite Mr Howard's beliefs, the US-led
invasion has caused instability in the region and continuous loss of
civilian lives. He made the speech as his first major address on the Iraq
invasion since leaving office, yet his justification outraged protesters
who have been barracking for Howard to be trialled as a war criminal.

'US is trapped in an endless war in Afghanistan'

An analyst says despite the astronomical cost of US Afghan presence and the
American public and military's opposition to staying in the country, it
could end up becoming what President Bush initiated as 'endless war.' The
comment comes as Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said that the United
States violated international human rights when its military carried out a
deadly airstrike in the eastern province of Kunar. The Afghan president
made the remarks on Saturday after his government's investigation into the
April 6 incident raised the Afghan civilian death toll from 11 to 17,
including 12 children and four women. Karzai also stated that foreign
troops breached his decree, which barred airstrikes in residential areas,
and described the move as "unacceptable."

An analyst says the main purpose of the US war in Afghanistan was to export
it across the border to break up Pakistan, Press TV reports. The comments
came after former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf admitted that his
government had agreed "a few" times to the United States launching drone
strikes inside the South Asian country. The unpopular drone strikes,
according to the nonpartisan public policy group New American Foundation,
have an estimated death toll of at least 1,990 people in Pakistan,
including hundreds of civilians.
